Across all Revenue Models, you find percentage rates (e.g. rates for growth, expansion, churn and discounts).

Often, applying the same rate over the entire life of a business case does not make sense and you want to adopt the rates (e.g. sales volume grows 10% per month in the first year, 8% in the second, 6% in the third,, ...)

You can edit these rates by using the Data Capture Widget which can be activated by the data table icon

An data table icon besides a percentage rate indicates that the rate can edited over the case lifetime.

  1. Editin % Rates using the Increments View 
  2. Editin % Rates using the Yearly Form

Let's follow the above example - sales volume should grow

  • 10% per month in the first year, 
  • 8% in the second year
  • 6% in the third year
  • 4% in the fourth year

Editing % Rates using the Increments View 

  • Enter 10% in the percent field

  • Click the data table icon to open the data table  prefilled with 10%
      


  • Select Edit Mode and the Increments View: As values do not grow month over month, all values in the table 0



  • Add an increment value of -2 every January so that every January the absolute value decreases by 2



  • Click the Apply Changes icon to save your changes
  • Select the absolute view et voila 

Editing % Rates using the Yearly Form

  • Enter 10% in the percent field



  • Click the data table icon to open the data table  prefilled with 10%



  • Select Edit Mode and the Yearly Form> in the values view, all values are aggregated showing 120=12*10 for each year 



  • Enter 96 (=12*8) in year 2, 72 (=12*6) in year 3, 48 (=12*4) in year 4, 24 (=12*2) in year 5



  • Click the Apply Changes icon to save your changes



  • Select the absolute view et voila
